Big enclosure needed — plan ahead

Blue-tongued skinks grow to 45–60cm as adults and need a large vivarium — minimum 120cm × 60cm, ideally larger. I started with a smaller enclosure for my juvenile and had to upgrade, which involved extra cost. Buy the adult-sized enclosure from the start — it's more economical. Once properly housed, my skink has thrived. She uses every corner of her vivarium and is clearly more active with the additional space.
