Wonderful pet but expensive setup

My bearded dragon is lovely but the initial cost was substantial — quality vivarium, T5 HO UVB fixture, ceramic heat emitter, quality thermostat, and furnishings came to a significant investment. Then there's the ongoing cost of live insects and fresh vegetables daily. Budget carefully before committing. The animal itself is wonderful, but reptile keeping isn't cheap if done correctly.
