OTTB adoption is incredibly rewarding

I adopted my Thoroughbred from a racing rehoming organisation and the transition process was a genuine journey. He arrived underweight, anxious, and confused by a world without starting gates and crowds. Eight months of careful retraining, correct feeding, and consistent routine turned him into a confident, happy horse. He now competes in showjumping and loves his job. The OTTB adoption journey is real work, but the horse at the end of it is extraordinary.
