Wonderful horse, significant management needs

My Thoroughbred mare is brilliant in so many ways but her management needs are substantial. Gastric ulcers required specialist veterinary intervention. She needs at minimum four hours of turnout daily. She loses condition quickly in winter. She doesn't tolerate changes in routine well. I manage all of this willingly because she's a remarkable athlete, but prospective Thoroughbred owners should understand the time and cost commitment before taking one on.
