Perfect beginner fish

Guppies were the first fish I ever kept and they are the reason I am still in the hobby fifteen years later. Hardy, colourful, active, and cheap — everything a beginner could want. My 20-gallon community tank holds a dozen guppies alongside corydoras and a couple of bristlenose plecos. They get along with everyone. The males are stunning little creatures with their flowing tails.
