Get two or more — they need company

My first ferret was a single kit (baby ferret) and while she was sweet, she was clearly lonely during the hours I was at work. I adopted a companion a month later and the transformation was immediate — both ferrets were happier, more active, and more playful. Ferrets must have ferret company. A lone ferret is an unhappy ferret. Always get two minimum and factor in the doubled cost of food, vet care, and housing.
