Highly intelligent, very trainable

Don't be fooled by the small size — Yorkies are properly intelligent dogs who enjoy learning. Mine has a good repertoire of tricks and responds well to complex commands. She also figured out that acting cute gets her more treats than performing commands and now applies this knowledge strategically. She's smarter than I am, honestly.
