Gentle with my anxious rescue cat

My anxious rescue cat has lived with my Whippet for three years and they now share the sofa comfortably. My Whippet learned quickly that the cat was not prey and has been respectful ever since. They groom each other occasionally. The prey drive is present on walks but at home with known animals my Whippet is gentle and respectful. Careful introduction and management made co-existence possible.
