Stubborn but lovable

My Westie will come when called when he decides the time is right. He performs commands when they align with his current intentions. He has the terrier's characteristic self-determination and I have made peace with it. Within his terms he is an affectionate, entertaining companion who makes me laugh every day. His stubbornness is part of his character and I appreciate it even when it is inconvenient.
