Separation anxiety was significant

My Vizsla struggled terribly when left alone. She destroyed furniture in the first month, howled for hours according to my neighbour, and showed genuine distress. We worked with a behaviourist for six months and she is significantly better. She needs a dog walker on days I am in the office. The commitment required to manage her separation anxiety was more than I anticipated. A wonderful dog for someone who is home most of the time.
