The Wheaten coat is beautiful and silky and does not shed onto furniture in the way so many breeds do. The cost is professional grooming every eight weeks, which is real. But the result is a dog that looks and feels wonderful and does not leave fur on everything I own. A good trade-off for a mild allergy household that wants a characterful, affectionate terrier.
