Dignified family guardian

My Ridgeback watches over my family with quiet intelligence. He observes visitors carefully, accepts those we welcome, and positions himself between our family and anything he finds concerning. He has never been inappropriate but his presence alone communicates serious intent. With my children he is tender and patient. He is one of the most balanced dogs I have ever owned.
