The perfect active family dog

My Portuguese Water Dog is exactly what we needed for our outdoor-focused family. She swims, hikes, runs, and retrieves with equal enthusiasm. She is deeply affectionate at home and my children adore her. Her low-shedding coat has been a genuine bonus for my husband who is mildly allergic. She needed consistent training in her first year but is now a reliably well-mannered companion who enhances every activity we do.
