Think very carefully before getting a Poodle — my honest experience

I'm writing this after 6 difficult years. I want to be clear: I don't blame the breed. The Poodle has genuine wonderful qualities — extremely intelligent. But the challenges have been overwhelming for us.

can be high-strung has been relentless. needs lots of mental stimulation was something we were told about but completely underestimated. It has affected our entire family's daily routine.

The health costs have been devastating. Addison's disease. We did not have adequate pet insurance and the financial strain has been significant.

One star because I feel the breed community isn't honest enough about the true demands. Some people are absolutely perfect for Poodles. I was not one of them. Please research thoroughly.
