Perfect companion for my mother

My seventy-eight-year-old mother has had my Maltese for two years and the transformation in her happiness has been remarkable. He is small enough for her to manage easily, gentle enough that she is comfortable with him, and affectionate enough to give her the daily joy of being truly needed. He gets her up every morning and out for a short walk. He has added measurably to her quality of life.
