Long-lived and healthy

My Maltese is thirteen years old and still bright-eyed and active. She has slowed down and sleeps more than she did at three but she is still engaged with life and with me. The longevity of this breed is one of its great gifts. We have had thirteen wonderful years together and I hope for more. She has been my companion through many life changes and I genuinely cannot imagine my daily life without her.
