Too much dog for my lifestyle

I made a mistake getting an Irish Setter. I am moderately active but not highly active and this breed needs a genuinely high-activity lifestyle. He is wonderful on the days I can give him what he needs. On normal days he is restless, vocal, and determined to find his own entertainment. He is not destructive in a malicious way, more exuberantly exploratory. For an ultra-active person he would be perfect. For me he was too much.
