The Havanese is the national dog of Cuba, a small companion breed with a silky, long coat and an irrepressibly cheerful personality. Sociable, intelligent, and easy to train, Havanese adapt readily to apartment living and are known for their ability to bond closely with people of all ages. They are sometimes described as velcro dogs due to their desire to be close to their humans at all times.
