The forty-mph couch potato is real

My retired Greyhound sleeps eighteen hours a day and runs like the wind for the other six. He is the most serene and gentle dog I have ever shared a home with. He never barks, rarely causes trouble, and requires minimal grooming. He adapted to home life within a week of leaving the track. He is sensitive and affectionate, resting his long head on my lap in the evenings. An extraordinary surprise of a breed for home life.
