Noble and devoted companion

My Dane follows me everywhere with quiet dignity. He is not boisterous or demanding, just quietly present and deeply loyal. He notices when I am unwell and lies closer than usual. He greets my children when they come home from school with enormous wagging enthusiasm that threatens to clear the coffee table. He is the most charismatic dog I have ever owned and the house feels different when he is not in it.
