German Shepherd: After 2 years, still the best dog breed for families

Our German Shepherd has been part of our family for 2 years and I still get emotional thinking about how much she has enriched our lives. thrives with a job — and with two young kids, that means everything.

The main things to budget for: can be aloof with strangers. We also learned about bloat risk, so we get regular vet checkups. Overall cost is higher than I expected initially, but every penny is worth it. Highly recommend this breed to anyone and everyone.
