German Shepherd: After 3 years, still the best dog breed for families

Our German Shepherd has been part of our family for 3 years and I still get emotional thinking about how much she has enriched our lives. excellent guard dog — and with two young kids, that means everything.

The main things to budget for: high exercise demands. We also learned about degenerative myelopathy, so we get regular vet checkups. Overall cost is higher than I expected initially, but every penny is worth it. Highly recommend this breed to anyone and everyone.
