Intensive socialisation from puppyhood is essential

Dobermans are powerful, alert dogs who need careful socialisation during the critical puppy window. Exposing them to everything — people, dogs, environments, sounds — during the first few months shapes their adult temperament enormously. My boy was socialised extensively and is calm and appropriate in all situations. Cutting corners on this would be a mistake with this breed.
