My son's devoted companion

My son has autism and our Cocker Spaniel has been transformative for him. She is patient, soft, and seems to intuitively understand his needs. She sits with him during difficult moments and her presence calms him more effectively than any intervention we have tried. She is gentle enough that he can approach her on his own terms and affectionate enough to always meet him halfway. She has changed our family's life.
