Lovable but health issues are real

My Boston has had two cherry eye surgeries and ongoing skin fold issues around her face. The vet bills have been significant. She is a lovely, affectionate dog with a wonderful personality but the brachycephalic health concerns are not trivial. Before getting this breed I would strongly recommend researching the specific health issues and budgeting accordingly. She is worth it for us but the costs surprised us.
