Incredible nose, selective hearing

I do volunteer search and rescue work with my Bloodhound and she is phenomenal at it. She has successfully trailed cold scents over twenty-four hours old across miles of varied terrain. At home she is completely different, slow, lazy, and absolutely obsessed with sleeping on the sofa. Her nose does not turn off though. She will follow a scent trail on walks regardless of what I want. You learn to build extra time into every outing.
