Changed how I think about dogs

My Bloodhound is the most profoundly dog-like dog I have ever owned. He smells everything, follows every scent, bays at interesting discoveries, and sleeps deeply between adventures. He does not play fetch or do tricks or care about obedience for its own sake. He is purely himself and utterly authentic in everything he does. Living with him has made me appreciate the true nature of a working hound in a way no other breed has.
