Great Beagle experience — just go in with realistic expectations

My Beagle Milo is 1 years old now and has been a wonderful companion. The breed lives up to its reputation: great scent hound. I particularly love that low grooming needs.

My one knock is that can be escape artists. I underestimated this when I first got she. Also, food motivated to excess is something you need to plan for. It's not a dealbreaker but requires commitment.

On the health front, hypothyroidism. Budget for that and you'll be fine. Four solid stars — would recommend to the right owner who knows what they're getting into.
