Sweet and stubborn in equal measure

My Basset is absolutely adorable and completely infuriating on walks. The moment she catches an interesting scent she becomes deaf to all commands and nothing in the world exists except that smell. I have learned to let her sniff to her heart's content and she eventually comes back to me. At home she is the most gentle, loving dog. Her long ears need cleaning twice a week but otherwise she is low maintenance.
