Herding instinct needs management

The herding instinct manifests in Australian Shepherds sometimes as nipping or circling behaviour. My girl went through a phase of herding my kids at high speed until we worked with a trainer on redirecting the instinct into structured play. Now it expresses in fetch and agility instead of family management. Training early makes all the difference.
