The merle coat is magnificent

Blue merle, red merle, black tri, red tri — the variety of Aussie coat patterns is beautiful and our black bi has the most lustrous coat I've seen on a working breed. It requires regular brushing during shedding season but stays clean and tangle-free otherwise. The investment in appearance is proportional to the enjoyment it brings.
