Regal and quietly affectionate

People assume Akitas are cold but mine is the opposite, she just expresses love differently. She leans against my legs, rests her head on my lap in the evenings, and checks on me whenever I am in a different room. She does not bark excessively, she does not destroy furniture, and she is fastidiously clean. The shedding is real but so is the reward of living with this magnificent animal.
