Think very carefully before getting a Scottish Fold — my honest experience

I'm writing this after 3 difficult years. I want to be clear: I don't blame the breed. The Scottish Fold has genuine wonderful qualities — gets along with everyone. But the challenges have been overwhelming for us.

osteochondrodysplasia causes pain has been relentless. expensive vet care was something we were told about but completely underestimated. It has affected our entire family's daily routine.

The health costs have been devastating. polycystic kidney disease. We did not have adequate pet insurance and the financial strain has been significant.

One star because I feel the breed community isn't honest enough about the true demands. Some people are absolutely perfect for Scottish Folds. I was not one of them. Please research thoroughly.
