Great Russian Blue experience — just go in with realistic expectations

My Russian Blue Molly is 6 years old now and has been a wonderful companion. The breed lives up to its reputation: quiet and calm. I particularly love that hypoallergenic coat.

My one knock is that reserved nature. I underestimated this when I first got she. Also, shy with strangers is something you need to plan for. It's not a dealbreaker but requires commitment.

On the health front, progressive retinal atrophy. Budget for that and you'll be fine. Four solid stars — would recommend to the right owner who knows what they're getting into.
