Beautiful breed with wonderful genetics

After researching breed health histories I chose Birman partly because they tend toward good health. Our boy is five and has been wonderfully healthy — no genetic issues detected, robust constitution, steady weight. From a reputable breeder, this breed seems to avoid many of the health problems that plague some pedigree cats.
