My American Curl is ten years old and has had no significant health issues. He is bright, playful, and vital. The breed is generally healthy because the curl mutation affects only cartilage and does not involve significant structural problems when bred responsibly. I chose a reputable breeder who health-tests and the results speak for themselves. A robust, long-lived companion.
