Great Abyssinian experience — just go in with realistic expectations

My Abyssinian Ruby is 1 years old now and has been a wonderful companion. The breed lives up to its reputation: endlessly entertaining. I particularly love that athletic and agile.

My one knock is that very high energy. I underestimated this when I first got she. Also, gets bored easily is something you need to plan for. It's not a dealbreaker but requires commitment.

On the health front, renal amyloidosis. Budget for that and you'll be fine. Four solid stars — would recommend to the right owner who knows what they're getting into.
